A Long Way from Welcome

Welcome is Maggie's belowed town and “Tara” is her home and refuge where she and her mother, Mara, have lived since the death of her father. Maggie realizes that some change is inevitable now that her mother is about to marry Bartholomew Britt, a rugged carpenter from the Yukon. She likes him though he definitely takes some getting used to. However, it's when Mara and Bartholomew inform her that they might have to sell "Tara" that the floor of Maggie's world begins to tilt. Still optimistic, they decide to remodel "Tara" with the hope they can remain. Unbeknownst to Maggie they arrange for her to stay, during the renovation, with Bartholomew's sister, a well-known painter who lives-in Paris! Not only that, his sister is a nun! New friends, new adventures and new answers to mysterious happenings in both Welcome and Paris unfold for Maggie as she catches the rhythm of life happening . . . a long way from Welcome.
