Lisa Hartman and Rue McClanahan star as daughter and mother, estranged but still deeply connected, in this heartwarming story about love, loss, and the power of family. When Sydney (Hartman), a dedicated single medical doctor, decides to take a break from her successful medical practice and return to her tiny hometown for a highschool reunion, old wounds are reopened and an old love sparks anew. Syd is brought back to the mysteries of her past, and struggles to connect with her mother who is still haunted by a family secret, while renewing a relationship with an old high school love (Dale Midkiff), a kind and gentle widower whose wise-beyond-his years son helps them stir the past flame and the promise of new beginnings, reminding us that there's no place like home.
