The Nuns of the Abbaye de Notre-Dame de l'Annonciation, in a remote region of France , won a global search by Universal Music of over 70 convents for the world's finest female Gregorian Chant singers. Their choice by Universal as the world's best female Gregorian Chant singing community became a major news story in the music world. They live a cloistered, hidden life as part of an ancient order dating back 1400 years. This beautiful and spiritually rich new album features the most ancient form of Gregorian Chant, recorded right in the nun's chapel, which the sisters sing eight times a day. The 22 Chants include Adoro Te, Surrexit Dominus, Alleluia Cognoverunt, Veni Sancte Spiritus, Magnificat, Dextera Domini, Benedictus Es, and many more.
