My very favorite Ignatius Press books, not necessarily in order and for different reasons, are as follows:

Fire of Mercy, Heart of the Word, by Erasmo Leiva-Merikakis

Confession, by Adrienne von Speyr

A Memory for Wonders, by Mother Veronica Namoyo, P.C.C.

Splendor of the Church, by Henri de Lubac

But there are many, many other books I have loved working on and reading as manuscripts or as completed books. It is very hard to narrow down the choice, especially after working with so many fine authors. The ones I have listed are the ones I have gone back to many times, books that have enriched a retreat or a Sunday afternoon.

I have been a part of Ignatius Press for more than 20 years, first as a volunteer editor, secretary, and typesetter, then as production editor, when we began to publish the books we were working on. Our first book was published January 30, 1980, and I have never regretted changing professions to be a part of Ignatius Press. My years as a librarian along with my interest in many fields have proven to be a good preparation for the work we are privileged to do. It is a great blessing to work for an apostolate that seeks to support and spread the teachings of the Catholic Church.

I am a convert--another great blessing--a mother of two girls and a grandmother of three. I don't have a hobby as such but I most enjoy reading, corresponding with family and friends, and being outside to enjoy God's creation.
