A fascinating film about the story of Venerable Fr. Solanus Casey, a greatly revered American priest whose cause for sainthood is underway in Rome. Due to academic difficulties, the Capuchin friar was ordained a simplex priest. He was not permitted to hear confessions or preach formally, but as his community's porter in Detroit, he came in contact, counseled, and prayed with thousands of people, especially the poor and sick, many who claimed healings through his prayers. An exemplary model of humility and service, Fr. Casey died at the age of 86 in 1957, and countless people pray for his intercession daily.
